Thank you, church family, for coming together and supporting the GMO community outreach canned food drive. We managed to see the hand of God at work and achieve a goal of 655 canned goods to donate to the Jesus House. The Jesus House is a no-cost, faith motivated nonprofit organization serving men and women in Oklahoma City who are addicted, homeless, and underprivileged.
The impact by their organization in 2023 was as followed:
- Weekly food baskets. 7.5k in 2023
- Meals to hungry and homeless 93k in 2023
- Thanksgiving food baskets 800+

Total Wellness Program
The Total Wellness program provides FREE interactive weight loss classes for Oklahoma County residents to help prevent diabetes and heart disease. Classes meet one hour every week for eight weeks. All class participants have a goal of losing 5% of their body weight and being more active.
Classes are offered four times a year (typically starting in January, April, July and October). Daytime and evening classes are available throughout Oklahoma County. To register for the next session, please visit OKC-County Health Department Total Wellness (occhd.org).
FREE Mental Health First Aid Training
Mental Health
First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In this course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.
The course will teach you how to apply the ALGEE action plan:
• Assess for risk of suicide or harm.
• Listen nonjudgmentally.
• Give reassurance and information.
• Encourage appropriate professional help.
• Encourage self-help and other support strategies.
