GraceGiving is a Thanksgiving Day outreach rooted in love, hospitality, and community care. Through the generosity of volunteers, donors, families, businesses, churches, and community organizations, Greater Mount Olive provides free, home-cooked Thanksgiving meals to members of our community.

What Is GraceGiving?
Thanksgiving is often presented as a season filled with family, celebration, and abundance. For many people, however, the holiday can also magnify food insecurity, financial hardship, grief, displacement, or isolation.
GraceGiving was created in response to those realities.
Each Thanksgiving Day, Greater Mount Olive opens its doors and joins with community partners to provide free, nourishing meals in an atmosphere shaped by dignity, warmth, and genuine hospitality.
Our purpose is not merely to distribute food. GraceGiving demonstrates what becomes possible when people choose to care for one another collectively.
We believe nobody should have to face any season alone.
Why It Matters
GraceGiving reflects a simple but necessary conviction: community care is a shared responsibility.
No single church, organization, business, or individual can meet every need. However, when people bring together their time, resources, relationships, and gifts, we can create something larger than any one of us could accomplish alone.
GraceGiving gives our community an opportunity to turn concern into action, generosity into nourishment, and faith into service.

Our 2026 Goal
This year, Greater Mount Olive and our community partners are working together to:
- Prepare and provide 350 complete Thanksgiving meals
- Mobilize at least 95 volunteers
- Raise $5,775 to support food, supplies, and operational needs
- Engage more than 10 community organizations, churches, families, and businesses
- Ensure that every person served is received with dignity, care, and hospitality
How You Can Help
GraceGiving is made possible by individuals and organizations willing to invest their time, resources, and care.
There are several ways to participate.
Sponsor a Meal
Every contribution helps provide a complete, home-cooked Thanksgiving meal.
The confirmed cost of sponsoring one GraceGiving meal in 2026 is $[AMOUNT].
- $15 sponsors one complete meal
- $75 sponsors meals for a family
- $150 sponsors a community table
- $375 helps provide 25 meals
- A gift of any amount supports the outreach
Whether you sponsor one meal or one hundred, your contribution makes a difference.

Contribution: $375
Includes:
- 25 sponsored meals

SPONSORSHIP LEVEL TWO: MISSION ALLY
Contribution: $750
Includes:
- 50 sponsored meals
- Recognition on the GraceGiving webpage

Contribution: $1,500
Includes:
- 100 sponsored meals

SPONSORSHIP LEVEL FOUR: COMMUNITY CHAMPION
Contribution: $2.500
Includes:
- 167 sponsored meals
- Prominent recognition on the GraceGiving webpage
- Recognition in select promotional materials
- A dedicated social media sponsor spotlight recognizing the organization's support of GraceGiving
- Prominent logo placement on the GraceGiving event materials and display, plus verbal recognition during the event.

Please note in the memo/comments "SPONSOR DONATION" and provide the exact name of the business, team, or organization as you would like it listed.
Volunteer With GraceGiving
GraceGiving depends upon people willing to serve before, during, and after Thanksgiving Day.
Volunteer opportunities may include:
- Food preparation
- Dining-area preparation
- Event setup
- Meal packaging
- Serving meals
- Greeting and hospitality
- Restocking supplies
- Volunteer check-in
- Transportation or delivery assistance, if applicable
- Photography and media
- Cleanup
- Post-event organization
- Other event-day responsibilities
Volunteers will serve during designated shifts so that each area of the outreach receives the support it needs.

Submitting the volunteer form allows the GraceGiving team to coordinate assignments. Volunteers will receive confirmation of their shift, arrival instructions, assigned area, and any additional requirements before the event.
Families, ministries, workplaces, alumni groups, fraternities, sororities, civic organizations, and other community groups are invited to serve together.

Frequently Asked Questions
How will my donation be used?
Donations designated for GraceGiving will support approved expenses associated with the outreach, including food, serving supplies, packaging, and other operational needs.
Can I make a donation of any amount?
Yes. Every gift contributes to the work. You do not have to select a formal sponsorship level to support GraceGiving.
Can my organization sponsor meals?
Yes. Businesses, churches, ministries, civic organizations, fraternities, sororities, alumni groups, and other organizations are invited to sponsor meals or participate at an official sponsorship level.
Can my group volunteer together?
Yes. Groups should complete the volunteer form and note their group or organization so that the GraceGiving team can coordinate an appropriate assignment and shift.
Can children or teenagers volunteer?
Yes, children ages 12+ may volunteer however they must be accompanied by an adult.
Do volunteers have to be members of Greater Mount Olive?
No. Community volunteers are welcome. All volunteers must complete the appropriate sign-up process and follow event-day instructions.
Will volunteers receive an assignment?
Yes. Volunteers will receive their confirmed shift, assigned service area, arrival instructions, and other relevant information before the event.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Greater Mount Olive & GMO Urban Ministries are 501(c)(3) organizations; contributions to GraceGiving are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. To request a donor acknowledgement letter for your contribution, please email: admin@gmochurch.org or call 405-424-2186 including your organization's name, donation date, contribution amount, and the email where you would like to receive your letter for the 2026 tax year.
Is there a deadline for sponsorships?
The requested deadline for sponsorship commitments is November 13, 2026.
Where can I find information about receiving a meal?
Public information concerning meal service will be distributed separately through Greater Mount Olive’s official community advertisements and social-media channels.
